My transformation began with "holiday blitz" bootcamp 2009. At that time I had no idea what a positive, life changing journey I was about to begin, not to mention the remarkable group of women and amazing friendships that would be formed.

Pounds lost - 25.2 lbs
Inches lost 14.5"
Fat % lost 4.2%
My transformation is about more than weight loss. My transformation is about awakening a new way of thinking where everything I eat and everything I do affects my heart, my mind, my happiness and my attitude. My transformation is about becoming mentally lighter by letting go of the negative way in which I viewed myself for most of my life. My transformation is about seeing the light instead of the dark; doing something instead of waiting; and taking care of me! My transformation is about opening my heart and mind and keeping both active; it is about working, resting, and my rewarding my body! My transformation is about banishing the doubt, for as it stated in Proverbs 23:7, "as a man thinketh in his heart so is he".

My fitness journey began officially March 2008 when I went to the doctor I was 42 years old and weighed 240lbs (although I have struggled all my life with fighting the battle of the bulge)-now I know you can’t believe I would tell my weight. Believe me I thought long and hard and prayed about putting that number out there, but I want those of you wondering if you can do this-you can- or if it’s too late ---it’s not!

My Fitness journey began in 2006 when I entered Villa Grove’s Biggest Loser. I had been attending Rebekah’s aerobic classes occasionally but a contest got me excited about losing weight. I kept the weight off for a little while but fell back into comfort eating and put a lot of my weight back on. I found myself almost back to square one. I heard about Tish and Rebekah’s new boot camp but 5:00 a.m. in the morning? UGH! Read More...

My quest for fitness and weight loss started in January 2008 during the Tuscola’s Biggest Loser Competition. I was very reluctant to sign up and asked a friend to join me. She declined, so I decided to go at it alone after some constant persuasion from my youngest daughter. Prior to signing up I would try to monitor my food intake and used walking as my primary means of exercise. During the competition I participated in Rebekah’s kickboxing classes held in Tuscola and Villa Grove. The first few classes I could barely keep up and it was hard to complete the hour long sessions. Each week it became easier and I found myself looking forward to workouts because of the results I was seeing. Read More...
