My Fitness journey began in 2006 when I entered Villa Grove’s Biggest Loser. I had been attending Rebekah’s aerobic classes occasionally but a contest got me excited about losing weight. I kept the weight off for a little while but fell back into comfort eating and put a lot of my weight back on. I found myself almost back to square one. I heard about Tish and Rebekah’s new boot camp but 5:00 a.m. in the morning? UGH! Tish and Rebekah have built their business by training our minds, bodies and spirits. The 5:00 a.m. time was the first hurdle for my mind. Now I feel like I have accomplished so much by the time my family gets up for the day. I will be running my second half marathon in May and would have never thought I could do it. Beyond exercising our bodies in all of the crazy, fun ways we do, Tish and Rebekah have taught us that it does matter what we eat. We pass on so many things to our kids. Unfortunately, or fortunately, our food choices are being watched as well. When my oldest son makes a food choice, he chooses like the “old” me. My youngest son chooses like the informed, “new” me. The Spiritual part was what helped me finally get it and succeed at fitness. God has so many plans for us and without healthy minds and bodies, we might miss out. Thanks Tish and Rebekah for putting it all together for us. The extra blessing for me has been sharing new friendships and triumphs with the amazing women of all ages at boot camp. Now, with fifty pounds down, I can’t wait to see how each new boot camp challenges me. Anyone can get fit, just remember, enjoy the journey.
